Michael Kaminski and his team provide clients with a wide array of wealth management guidance including retirement, estate, and long-term care planning.

Michael joined Merrill Lynch in 1992 after graduating from James Madison University. Prior to JMU, he served in the U.S. Air Force, hosting the "Mike-in-the-Morning" show on Armed Forces radio in Europe.

He was promoted to Resident Director of the Charlottesville office in 1997, and formed the Schmidt & Kaminski Group in 2001. Michael earned his Certified Financial Planner™ designation in 2004, and is also a Certified Advisor for Senior Living&trade and a Certified Divorce Finacial Analyst.

In 2008, Michael received the prestigious David Brady Award. The award recognizes a few Merrill Lynch employees nationwide each year for their high integrity, teamwork, business accomplishments and community service.

Michael, and his wife Kate, live in Ivy, Virginia with their three children: Lauren, Jack and Caroline. He is the creator and co-author of Swing Thoughts for the Cancer Club, and is the founder and President of "The Freedom 5K", an annual run funding educational scholarships for children who have lost a parent in combat.
